My name is Tamara and I’m a….drumroll please…. Photographer!

You would never have guessed, am i right 🙂

Ok, so I started out doing a photography college a long –oh so long– time ago. Following my graduation I worked for several fashion and advertising photographers, assisting them while they were creating dream images for magazines, agencies and customers alike. It was great fun and i learned a lot about the minute organization and detailed planning that goes into such shoots. It’s like composing a symphony; extremely complex and mind bending, but when it all comes together: the location, the makeup artist, the model, the stylist, the photographer and last but not least the postproduction, it ends up becoming a beautiful piece of art, that shows the craftsmanship of everyone who was part of the project. A real Team effort!

I got side-tracked for a while being an editor for magazines and studying geology, but have decided to go back to photography, because this is where i feel at home! This is where my soul lives, my passion lies and my heart rules. I love creating visual fantasies in which you get lost while looking at them. They can take you on an adventure to beautiful places, give you a blissful moment of tranquility, or fascinate you with the inimitable features of a human being. Fantastic worlds can be found in everything we see, it all depends on our perception and awareness. Quite interestingly, all images are created within our minds and are therefore unique to each of us 🙂 Food for thought!
